What do you get up to on a typical day/week?
Typically I spend my days training new starters and getting them up to speed. Teaching them how to use systems and other day-to-day equipment. Also, coaching new starters and long term colleagues.

We have a great development and training team, they offer the right training to all ages and experience levels.
What opportunities are there for career progression?
There are opportunities depending on which direction you want to go in. Being a Buddy is a step up where you have to be involved in training - this will then hopefully progress into a becoming a manager. It’s a great stepping stone if you become a Buddy.
Tell us about the rewards and benefits?
We get rewarded for every day duties, if we go above and beyond, we get rewards called Nibbles. These could be used for many things such as free breakfast or gift vouchers. There are many more benefits, which include having your birthday off to having a week off when you get married.
How does Pets at Home give back to the community?
We recruit locally. We host family fun days which can offer discounts on pet food. Charity events are also a massive part of our work, we do our best to give money back to the community.
