We believe in opening new doors
All of our learning and development programmes are centred around our firmly-held belief that everyone deserves to become the best they can be. From apprentices to future leaders, wherever you work and whatever career stage you’ve reached, we’ll nurture your talent. As well as offering a range of formal and informal learning opportunities, we’ll support you in enhancing your current role and planning your long-term prospects. Expect regular conversations about performance and potential.
The learning offering in our Support Office is as diverse as our opportunities. To start with, our training is about helping you to find your feet, learn the ropes and do the kind of work that leaves you feeling fulfilled and motivated. After all, we’re here to help you develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours that will help us be recognised as the best pet care business in the world. You’ll be working behind the scenes, but you’ll still have a vital role to play in helping us provide the best experiences for pets and their owners.
As your career progresses, you’ll be able to access a wide range of training in a mix of formats, from full day workshops through to 1 hour sessions, covering a variety of subjects from communication skills to time management. Self-directed learning can be accessed via our ‘My Learning’ platform, which enables you to choose when, how and what you learn. When it comes to the specialist knowledge needed for your specific job, we offer tailored learning experiences for each part of the business, and for each group of colleagues. You can also expect in-job coaching and, for those looking to take the next step up, leadership and management development programmes.
Meanwhile, if you’re keen to extend your skills, we offer a wide range of apprenticeship programmes from Level 2 to Level 7 and in areas such as leadership, human resources, finance and customer service.
Finally, as well as giving you the chance to drive your own learning journey, we’ll support your progression through our different talent pathways. We’re a very forward-looking business, and we want everyone here to be able to play a part in shaping our future.
