We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract as maternity cover. If you have a passion for finance and are ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you!

About the role

This hybrid role is based at our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire, and reports to the Head of Central Finance. You’ll be required to work in the office two days per week.

Key Responsibilities will include;

  • Partnering with our Central support functions, linking with the Vet business to build and support business plans
  • Managing periodic rolling reforecasting by liaising with directors and department heads
  • Providing weekly, periodic and ad hoc reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Overseeing end-to-end period-end processes, managing cost lines, posting journals and calculating accruals & prepayments
  • Contributing to the delivery of periodic results to the Retail Finance Director, and preparing period-end board packs
  • Maintaining balance sheet control through reconciliations
  • Delivering accurate and timely management information to support decision-making
  • Liaising with Third Party Auditors, providing necessary information for audits
  • Managing and supporting two Central finance team members, ensuring high standards and meeting deadlines

About you

  • Fully qualified Accountant (CIMA or equivalent), with at least 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience in financial control and balance sheet management
  • Strong Excel skills; SAP and Power BI experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor colleagues
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to support and manage director/executive-level stakeholders
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, pressurised commercial environment
  • Team player with strong collaborative skills
