We are seeking a Disaster Recovery Lead to join our team, responsible for ensuring the readiness and resilience of our critical services. Key Responsibilities:
As the Disaster Recovery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organisation against potential disasters and disruptions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and maintenance of disaster recovery policy & procedures, and DR readiness plans for Tier 1 & 2 services.
- Organizing and overseeing all disaster recovery tests conducted by technical teams, identifying risks, and managing improvement actions.
- Collaborating closely with technical teams and Business Continuity to design and continually enhance DR plans.
- Building strong relationships across Service Transition & Delivery to ensure adherence to the DR Policy in new & changed services.
- Providing DR support to Major Incident Managers and the wider Service Delivery and Lifecycle Management teams to align service processes with modern ITSM best practices.
To succeed in this role, you must have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in a customer-focused IT Service role, coordinating Disaster Recovery plan tests in a complex and evolving technical environment.
- Excellent systematic problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and understand business needs.
- A strong commitment to ensuring system availability and a proactive focus on prevention.
- Experience in managing interactions with suppliers.
- Tenacity and authority with the ability to influence others.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues at all levels.
- A self-starter who can work independently while fostering positive working relationships across teams and contributing to the Service Delivery team environment.
