Location: Stafford DC

 

Hybrid working: 2 days at SFC, 3 days WFH

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to join our busy Payroll Team based in our Support Office in Stafford, Staffordshire.

You will be part of a dedicated team who together administer payroll for our Distribution Centres and Transport Division consisting of approximately 1750 colleagues and growing, providing an efficient and effective payroll service.

Key responsibilities;

Part of team processing timely, compliant, and accurate payroll for c1,750 distribution centre colleagues on a four-weekly basis across a number of payrolls.

Supporting other areas of the team with payroll processing of our Retail and Vets Practices when required.

Dotted line responsibility for the Payroll Operations Team.

Responsible for ensuring day to day tasks are completed within the Payroll Operations Team in accordance with the payroll schedule.

Responsibility for reviewing manual calculations completed by the Payroll Administrators.

Responsibility for calculating complex manual calculations.

Assisting with team training on processes and technical elements.

Assessing colleagues for inclusion into the company pension scheme in line with auto-enrolment.

Reconciliation of pension contributions files prior to submission to pension provider.

Ensuring the delivery of a first class service to our colleagues across the business.

 

Skills required;

Previous experience of administering payroll within an office environment is essential.

You will have an excellent understanding of current payroll legislation.

Previous experience of using SAP payroll solution is an advantage but not essential.

The successful candidate should be well organised, work to a high level of accuracy and have keen attention to detail.

Previous experience in work allocation an advantage, but not essential.

To ensure we deliver a first class service, you will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills.

You will be required to be computer literate in Word, Excel & Outlook.

You should be an honest and trustworthy individual who is able to comfortably handle confidential information & adhere to all GDPR legislation.
