About the Role:
Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey into the world of finance? We are seeking a dedicated Transactional Finance Assistant to join our Vets Finance Team at Pets at Home. If you have a background in office administration, proficiency with computers, and a knack for Excel (basic formulas and formatting), this role offers a fantastic opportunity to transition into the dynamic realm of finance.
Your daily responsibilities will involve pivotal administrative tasks that contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our finance system. Collaborating closely with Practice Colleagues, Insurance/Charities, and Support Office Colleagues, exceptional communication and customer service skills are essential. Your knack for prioritization, workload management, and precision will be put to the test in this role. While prior experience in a finance environment is advantageous, we are committed to providing comprehensive training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Posting Journals into SAP: Contribute to accurate financial records through precise journal entries.
- Reconciliation of Bank Accounts: Ensure financial data integrity by reconciling bank accounts.
- Adhoc Accounts Duties: Assist with various accounting tasks as required.
- Payment and Receipt Allocation: Collect and organize information to allocate payments and receipts accurately via bank transactions.
- Building Insurance Relationships: Foster strong relationships with insurance companies to facilitate information exchange.
- Supporting Practice Colleagues: Provide guidance to colleagues regarding finance-related queries via email and phone.
- Transaction Issue Resolution: Address straightforward transaction issues efficiently.
- Control Guidelines: Adhere to control guidelines in daily activities, promptly reporting control failures to management.
- Financial Data Handling: Retrieve and manage financial data to aid decision-making.
