About your role

You’ll be a core member of our group digital leadership team, reporting to our Group Digital Director. The role comes with significant responsibilities, as you’ll lead on the development of our UX capabilities and drive the creation of compelling, innovative experiences that bring customer and business needs together. It is accountable for high quality customer journey responses to customer insight, product innovation and business requirements.

As a true subject matter expert and strategic thinker, your leadership will define how we shape our customer journey, as well as how we prioritise digital innovation and develop collaborative, high performing UX teams.

Working in partnership with a number of teams, from optimisation to product development, you will share an ambition of growing the digital channel, whilst taking accountability for professional standards in UX/UI. You will play a major part in creating the design and functionality of new apps and websites.


About your experience

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make a big impact straight away, delivering outstanding leadership with an ability to work both strategically and at an operational level. You’ll be commercially astute and able to inspire and engage those you collaborate with. The opportunity to work across a variety of stakeholders in a highly visible role, acting as the subject matter expert for UX will excite you.

You’ll need a proven track record in a similar role, operating in a complex and large scale organisation. You will be experienced within designing UX solutions across a wide range of devices and across every stage of the process, from design to documentation, personas, scenarios, wireframes, process flows, testing, architecture and beyond. You’ll also need a deep knowledge of SCRUM, agile processes, Sketch and Adobe applications.

You should have technical training in UX/UI tools and techniques, along with some formal training in people management.  Any experience in a direct to consumer environment would enable you to thrive from day one.
