About the role

Reporting into the Digital Acquisition Manager, responsible for delivering customer-focused, profitable paid search campaign management across the group. In this key role, you will help deliver our paid media strategy to drive customer acquisition and growth in line with company KPIs and overall business and marketing goals. Daily analysis and optimisation of campaigns including the management of bids and budgets. Building strong relationship with paid media partners to be at the forefront of new product releases and opportunities. Responsible for delivering 40% of retail website revenue through Paid Search, along with online appointment bookings for Vets4Pets.

Key responsibilities (will include, but not limited to):

  • Management of Group PPC & GSA accounts
  • Analysing and reporting on campaign effectiveness
  • Plan and manage paid search campaigns and optimise as required
  • Plan & Optimise paid search user journeys
  • Monitoring and forecasting account budgets and monthly spending to deliver an excellent balance of ROI & ROAS
  • Update Ad Copy regularly to maximum conversion rate & ROI across Pets & manage Vets with our PPC agency.
  • Creation and optimisation of engaging campaigns and advertising strategies
  • Develop short and long-time paid search strategies and campaigns
  • Manage and be responsible for group PPC budgets of £5m+
  • Monitor daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and CPCs
  • Work with the content team to ensure landing pages are effectively optimised for all PPC campaigns to ensure maximum ROI and conversion is possible
  • Manage our relationship with Google directly to gain access insights to new opportunities for the group
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and trends across PPC and Paid Media
  • Proactive in seeking out new opportunities for growth through PPC
  • Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of digital acquisition marketing and Ecommerce performance across PPC

About your experience

Experience, Knowledge & Expertise – Essential;

  • 3 years+ proven experience in paid search
  • Technical proficiency in relevant platforms and software (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics)
  • Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Google Analytics certified
  • Results driven and passionate about marketing, PPC and data
  • Analytical with the ability to interpret data whilst possessing an excellent command of numbers
  • Solution-orientated with the ability to adapt strategy and influence outcomes
  • Positive attitude with an excellent work-ethic and self-motivation
  • Good attention to details with the ability to plan work, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Great interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Proven track record of using web analytics to measure performance
  • Experience of managing external agency relationships
  • Commercially minded with experience of budget control and management

Experience, Knowledge & Expertise – Desirable;

  • Knowledge of the pet industry would be an advantage
  • Digital Marketing qualification
  • Google Analytics Academy
  • ASA or CAP trained
