Internal Communications Specialist – SAP JAM (6 Months Fixed Term)

SAP JAM will deliver secure, cloud based collaboration across our group, improving communication and access to information & policies. Working alongside the rest of the Success Factors suite, JAM has many features & capabilities that will transform the way we work, allowing us to solve business problems, make decisions, & drive results. We are now recruiting for a SAP JAM Communications Specialist on an initial 6 month contract that will drive the platform forward and shape JAM across all areas of the business.


You will be responsible for supporting the configuration, maintenance, operation, & ongoing administration of JAM. By participating in research & development to enable continuous innovation, you will ensure that the JAM platform and related procedures adhere to processes & policies in line with the Pets at Home Group. In addition, you will be responsible for setting system administration requirements, establishing governance processes, implementation, communication, & system security administration that support the company’s strategic objectives.

You will be a highly effective gatekeeper of the SAP JAM collaborative tool.


  • Configure initial pages & permissions ready for JAM launch
  • Understands role based permissions and implement these effectively
  • Configure pages to be controlled by area admins
  • Configure JAM collaborative features
  • Design & administer the look & feel of starter pages including group culture & message
  • Oversee the daily administration of the SAP JAM system
  • Partner with the People Leadership Team, Communications Team & other System Administrators to configure, maintain, & operate the environment to reflect & communicate business processes & messages
  • Maintain system security roles & supporting content (for example; profiles, forms, updates to notifications, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot problems related to upgrades, releases, fixes, & enhancements
  • Provide end user support to ensure adoption and ease of use
  • Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity & availability of the system
  • Create, change, and deactivate user accounts for systems access as needed
  • Manage data integrity issues (e.g. duplicate data)
  • Ability to understand/implement quarterly releases
  • Measuring consumption rates/metrics etc.


  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Good understanding of layout design principles
  • Excellent documentation & written communication skills
  • Ability to gather & implement requirements
  • Good understanding of technology
  • Strong problem-solving & troubleshooting skills
  • Strong relationship building & interpersonal skills – both internal & external
  • Interested in growing an exciting, new group wide platform from the ground up


  • Salary of up to £35,000 pro rata per annum dependant on experience
