About the Role

We are recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Resourcer, where you will be responsible for sourcing, screening and qualifying candidates according to specifications provided by the Talent Acquisition Partners, TA Leads, and TA Specialists and the wider business for current or future requirements.

This will lead to sourcing activities to map the competitor market across Pets at Home group functions. This will ensure the Talent Acquisition team are delivering the right people, in the right place, at the right time by providing a quality research and candidate sourcing service.                                                                      

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively build a prospect pipeline in anticipation of future needs

  • Identify, build effective working relationships with, and develop an expertise in relevant job boards and other social media channels to source candidates

  • Network with candidates to obtain recommendations and contacts for active job-seekers

  • Identify trends and opportunities to increase candidate attraction to the Pets at Home Group. 

  • Support the build of talent pools, maintaining positive brand-led contact with candidates to ensure a pipeline of suitable talent for future roles

  • Liaise with candidates and applicants as a brand ambassador, providing a great candidate experience through the candidate journey

  • Dealing with speculative enquiries and applications to the business, answering their queries and directing them as appropriate.

  • Provide quality market / corporate intelligence (i.e. organisational structure, scope of positions in competing companies, compensation, benefits information, etc.) as needed

  • Compile target lists of companies that employ similar positions for which a department is hiring

Skills/Experience required

  • Experience in candidate sourcing and attraction, market research, using research-based methods associated with executive search including (but not limited to): Conducting internet research; Social media search; Utilising industry directories; CV databases; Associations and job advertisements; Networking and attending job fairs, career events.

  • Developed knowledge of sourcing methodologies and tools

  • Experience using ATS / Talent pooling software (or large HR estates)

  • Ability to analyse candidate profiles and determine appropriate matches for vacancies

  • Proven ability to source and pre-screen prospects through strong phone skills

  • Able to develop valued relationships with Colleagues, Managers and Candidates alike

  • Able to achieve desired outcomes in an environment of competing priorities and objectives
