About the role

As the Online Merchandising Executive, you’ll be responsible for using online data and analytics to review website activity and the performance of our products online. You’ll generate insights and take action upon the resulting recommendations in order to influence our strategy and decision making process.

We’ll look to you to monitor wider market trends and benchmark our performance. You’ll also track how visitors enter our website and how those visitors behave, all the while looking to formulate recommendations that will both improve our customer’s journey and drive conversion rates.

This is a very analytical role. Your day will involve interpreting multiple data sets and we’ll look to you to drive a data driven decision making approach, upskilling the wider team to do the same.

But you’ll also take action based upon your analysis. You’ll formulate the actions required in order to optimise / remedy under-performing metrics and manage the implementation of them through the Activation and Merchandising teams from end to end.

Your goal will be to ensure that we create an online experience that is second to none for our customers. You’ll play a key role in contributing to our end goal of a fully personalised customer experience that integrates pet care across Stores, Multi-Channel and Vets to deliver a seamless service.

About your experience

You’ll be naturally curious. Someone who has a passion for leaving no stone unturned when it comes to using customer behaviour data in order to drive continuous improvement across all levels of the online journey.

Given how analytical the role is, you’ll have extensive experience of using Microsoft Excel and dealing with large amounts of data. This will have been done working within a digital marketing, Ecommerce, consumer insights or market research role.

You’ll also get a thrill from putting your analysis to use. Rather than handing it to the next person, you’ll take tangible actions and see it through to wash up/review.

Further key experience required for this role includes:

  • Experience using merchandising systems such as Bloomreach
  • A proficiency in Google Analytics 360 (GA360), ideally holding a Google Analytics certification
  • Ideally hold experience using systems such as SimilarWeb, Data Studio and/or ContentSquare
