About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Transactional Finance Accounts Assistant, working within the Cash and Banking team in their dynamic, fast paced and friendly Swindon office.

As a Transactional Finance Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for the cash and banking reconciliations for approximately 120 surgeries, to ensure that the banking at the Vet practices is completed with accuracy and attention to details. Whilst doing so, you will be providing and maintaining a high level of service and support to the surgeries and partners. Sound Excel skills and knowledge of other MS Office Applications are necessary, and an AAT qualification/part qualification is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

· To develop a professional relationship with allocated surgeries to build respect and credibility of the cash and banking service.

· Responsible for collating all banking sheets from the surgeries on a weekly basis.

· Ensure all banking sheets are checked to confirm they are correct and to support the surgeries in resolving any errors.

· Ensure all the takings are posted onto the Open Accounts system within 3 working days.

· Responsible for reconciling the takings, checking takings correct against surgery expectations within set timescales.

· To work with the surgeries to resolve any banking errors or queries.

· Handling day to day queries with the surgeries.

· To support the Cash and Banking team with any other requirements.

 

Tasks

To include but not limited to:

· Saving Banking Sheets

· Running Macro’s through banking sheets

· Resolving banking sheet discrepancies

· Setting up takings reconciliations

· Profit Protection

· Takings Reconciliations

· Running Direct Credit rename macro

· Reconciliation clean ups

· Writing and updating process notes and training documents
