About the Role

As an Energy Manager, you will report into the Group Head of Facilities and work as part of the Development and Facilities team.

The Energy Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day Utilities impacts across the Pets at Home Group to include procurement, bureau services, energy consultancy, budget management and BEMS in partnership with the appointed energy consultancy.

Key Responsibilities include:

You’ll be accountable for the day-to-day Utilities impact across the Pets at Home Group. This includes direct responsibility for Utilities budgets, improving data reporting channels and managing a small team.

In collaboration with the Utilities Consultants, you’ll manage consumption, to ensure that performance is in line with budget and forecast. A key goal for the business is our Net Zero pledge, you will support the group in helping to achieve this.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Previous experience of managing utilities and working to environmental strategic targets across a large multisite business.
  • Team management and project management expertise.
  • Experience of managing multiple consultants to deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent knowledge of energy and environmental legislation and its practical application.
  • A track record of reducing consumption and delivering technological changes.

If you have any of the following experience, that would be highly desirable.

  • Experience of working with custom built BEM’s software
  • PPA procurement
  • Proven energy behaviour delivery
