What do you get up to on a typical day/week?
My job is to make sure that all MHE training is kept to the expected levels, whether they are new operators or on refresher training.
Tell us about the learning and development?
I started as a service colleague and over the years have gained lots of training in MHE as well as NVQs etc. Ultimately I was chosen as an MHE instructor as that was my career choice.
What opportunities are there for career progression?
All jobs are advertised internally so there are many opportunities to progress.
Tell us about the rewards and benefits?
There are many benefits and rewards, from Nibbles vouchers to discounts for colleagues. Lifeworks and the treats/benefits schemes. I have just had a new bike on the cycle to work scheme.
How does Pets at Home give back to the community?
Pets at Home are involved with lots of local charities from dogs homes to pet rescue centres and also local hospices.
