What’s the best thing about working here?
One of the best things about working here is seeing different breeds of dogs that you wouldn’t normally see. Also, the people I work with and the rewards and benefits.

What do you get up to on a typical day/week?
I normally groom up to seven dogs per day whilst managing the salon and making sure everything runs smoothly.
Tell us about the learning and development?
The training scheme is brilliant. It is broken down in to stages to make it easier to learn and there are so many opportunities to progress.
What opportunities are there for career progression?
Being Salon Manager isn’t the furthest you can progress in the Groom Room. You always have opportunities to progress further in the company, for example to Area Manager.
Tell us about the rewards and benefits?
There are so many rewards. The main one for me is that Pets at Home have supported me through competing in grooming competitions.
How does Pets at Home give back to the community?
Pets at Home raise money for lots of different charities. It’s great because you can choose personally which one you would like to support.
