For me, the most rewarding things about being a Salon Manager is passing my skills and knowledge on to my team, and seeing them progress with confidence.
Describe the culture
In the Groom Room my team feel like a family, we are all very close and the girls call me ‘Mumma Bear’, which I love.
What do you get up to on a typical day/week?
During a typical working week, I can groom up to 7 dogs per day, as well as fitting in time to train my team, to ensure their constant progression.
Tell us about the learning and development?
The training colleagues receive in the Groom Room is excellent. It covers a wide range of topics, from grooming skills, animal welfare and behaviour traits as well as seeing a wide variety of dogs in the salon.
What opportunities are there for career progression?
There are fantastic opportunities for career progression starting at assistant level. You can progress to be a Stylist and go on to be a Salon Manager and beyond.
